‘You Already Know the Answer’
The Creative Process:
For this piece, I allowed myself to follow my intuition, creating a pattern that felt organic, like a reflection of my inner landscape. I’ve developed a practice with myself that I call releasing, where I let myself fully experience an emotion, however raw or overwhelming, and then channel it into free-flowing painting or drawing. The emotion I chose for this work was confusion.
At the time, I was faced with a difficult decision. I knew, deep down, which path was right for me, but fear kept me indecisive, leaving both options open, as if confusion could somehow delay the inevitable. It became a way to stall—an emotional defense against moving forward. In that space of uncertainty, the painting began to take shape, becoming a visual representation of the confusion I couldn’t yet release. And so, what started as a moment of stasis transformed into a visual unfolding named:
